To objectively assess the situation, it is best to see it firsthand – this approach to work has long been customary for representatives of local authorities, as well as the deputy corps. Today, a field meeting of the District Council of Deputies and the District Executive Committee was held.
The first plenary session traditionally took place in the meeting room. It was dedicated to issues of rural life. The participants of the meeting touched upon the real problems of the residents of Volosovichsky, Domzheritsky and Borovsky village councils. The list of issues concerning rural residents included the quality of drinking water, street lighting, the condition of garbage containers, the abundance of stray animals, road repairs, and others.
The second part of the meeting took place outside the meeting room. Managers and deputies visited several sites. First, the Lepel residents laid wreaths and flowers at the graves of soldiers who died in the war, and then they moved in an organized manner to the first site on the route.
The organization of recreation on the city beach was the focus of attention. The guests got acquainted with the work of the sports camp "Albatros", the health improvement of children in the round-the-clock camp "Borovka", and the difficult service of the OSVOD rescuers. During the visit to this site, it was noted that the city beach in Lepel is among the top three best in the Vitebsk region.
Another point on the specialists' route was the Lepel District Museum of Local Lore. Today, on the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War, a presentation of the book "Lepel Mortar School" took place there.
