Symbolic red ribbons were cut at four important facilities simultaneously. Among the significant events was the grand opening of the iron removal station in the agro-town of Gorki. Drinking water is a vital element necessary for the existence of all living things on Earth, and quality water is a guarantee of human health and well-being for many years to come. Therefore, the residents of the agro-town eagerly awaited this event.
The Chairman of the Lepel District Executive Committee, Mikhail Leonidovich Kiselevich, addressed the attendees. Mikhail Leonidovich noted that the Republic pays great attention to creating comfort and decent living conditions for the rural population. The State Programme "Comfortable Housing and a Conducive Environment" for 2016–2020 includes the sub-programme "Clean Water," which is actively being implemented in our district. The construction cost exceeded 200 thousand rubles, allocated from the budget.
Also opened today were: the sports hall of the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 of Lepel"; a monument to underground fighters and partisans after reconstruction; and the improved adjacent territory of the Lepel District Library.
