The highest gross regional product (GRP) in Belarus in January-September was achieved in the Vitebsk region, with a 14% increase in comparable prices compared to the same period last year. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the National Statistical Committee. The GRP index in the Minsk region for the nine months was 106.2%, in the Mogilev region - 103.4%, in the Grodno region - 102.8%, in the Gomel region - 102.1%, and in the city of Minsk - 101.9%. The gross regional product of the Brest region decreased by 1.1% compared to the same period last year. According to Belstat, the GRP of Minsk accounts for the largest share in the republic's gross domestic product - 23.2%. The share of the GRP of the Minsk region in Belarus's GDP is 14.8%, Gomel region - 12.7%, Vitebsk region - 11.1%, Brest region - 9.1%, Grodno region - 7.8%, Mogilev region - 7.2%. The undistributed part of the gross regional product accounts for 14.1%. This part of the GRP represents the gross value added of non-market services provided by government organizations to society as a whole (defense, public administration services), and other non-market services financed from the republican budget. It also includes the gross value added of the unobserved economy, taxes on products paid into the republican budget, and subsidies on products provided from the republican budget. According to Belstat, in the nine months of this year, the volume of Belarus's gross domestic product amounted to Br367.2 trillion in current prices, an increase of 2.5% in comparable prices compared to January-September 2011. The share of gross value added from industry in GDP was 33.6%, trade, repair of motor vehicles, household goods and personal items - 14.2%, agriculture, hunting and forestry - 8.8%, transport and communications - 7.4%, construction - 6.3%. -0-
