12 August, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. The US economic sanctions against Belarusian joint-stock companies "Belshina", "Grodno Azot", "Grodno Khimvolokno" and "Naftan" are groundless. These measures will not significantly impact the operations of the enterprises. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by representatives of these joint-stock companies. Thus, OJSC "Naftan" does not foresee major disruptions related to the American sanctions. "Today, we do not cooperate with the USA in terms of raw material supplies or equipment supplies," noted the enterprise's General Director Vladimir Tretyakov. "Naftan" also has no financial relations with American banks. The Chief Engineer of OJSC "Grodno Khimvolokno", Alexander Nadeiko, in turn, noted that the enterprise's cooperation with the USA is minimal. The joint-stock company's supplies are sufficiently diversified. "This is not the first time the USA has imposed such sanctions against Belarusian enterprises. For us, this is not critical; the enterprise will cope," he is confident. At the same time, according to the Chief Engineer, the sanctions may negatively affect the enterprise's American partners, who require products specifically from "Grodno Khimvolokno". OJSC "Grodno Azot" emphasized that they consider the US sanctions imposed against the enterprise to be unfounded. These measures will affect the employees of the joint-stock company and their attitude towards the American authorities more than the enterprise's production activities, they are confident. By decision of the US Department of the Treasury, the list of Belarusian enterprises with which American companies and citizens are prohibited from conducting transactions was expanded on the eve. The list includes OJSC "Belshina", OJSC "Grodno Azot", OJSC "Grodno Khimvolokno", OJSC "Naftan".-0-
