Last year, the budget of the district department of the Social Protection Fund of the Population received 61.1 billion rubles. Financial revenues made it possible to cover pension payments with own funds by 80 percent. The deficit is covered by subsidies.
Social insurance allowed the residents of Lepel region to use temporary disability benefits in the amount of 4.5 billion rubles, and maternity benefits - 1.1 billion rubles in relevant situations. 255 families received financial support in the form of benefits totaling 825 million rubles upon the birth of children. Families raising children up to three years old and older with low aggregate income received payments totaling 3.7 billion rubles. One-time financial assistance for seasonal purchase of agricultural products was provided in accordance with Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 417 of September 15, 2011, in the amount of 319 million rubles.
Burial grants were paid in the amount of 55 million rubles.
