The Belarusian national beach soccer team has won the "Friendship Cup" at an international tournament that concluded today in Vitebsk, BELTA correspondent reports. In the final match, the Belarusian team snatched a hard-fought victory with a score of 5:4 over the Latvian team. Vadim Bokach scored the winning goal with 4 minutes left in the third period. Lithuania took third place. The Friendship Cup, as well as medals, were awarded to the winners and prize-winners of the tournament, and commemorative cups from the organizers were presented to the teams of the Kaliningrad region and Moldova, which took 4th and 5th places, respectively. Belarusian Ivan Miranovich was named the best defender of the "Friendship Cup". The best goalkeeper award went to Lithuanian goalkeeper Dmitry Shelkovsky, and the best forward award went to Dmitry Yakovlev from the Latvian team. The top scorer of the tournament was also a player from the Latvian team, Andis Dombrovskis, who scored 6 goals. The "Friendship Cup" beach soccer tournament was the first international competition in Belarus for this sport. 5 teams participated in the tournament. The organizers were the "Belarusian Football Federation" association, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.-0-
