Today, celebrating the annual holiday of our formation, we must remember more than ever the heroic past of our Motherland, and especially the memory and combat lessons of the Great Patriotic War, which was a severe test of the moral spirit of the Soviet soldier and the common people of a great country.
The Battle of Moscow in the distant year of 1941 marked the beginning of the illustrious chronicle of our formation.
The combat path of the formation is truly heroic, and eternal proof of this are the Guards ribbon, the Order of the Red Banner of Combat, and the Order of Suvorov, 2nd Class, on the Combat Banner. The liberated cities are forever inscribed in the designation of the formation, as witnesses to valor and immortal feat.
All the best qualities of the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, their glorious traditions, examples of courage, heroism, strength of spirit, and devotion to their Motherland live on today in our hearts.
The modern defenders of the Fatherland – proudly called Guardsmen of the 19th Separate Mechanized Brigade – are successfully resolving combat tasks dictated by modern challenges and threats, improving and enhancing their combat skills, and are ready at any moment to demonstrate them and repel an unexpected aggressor.
The present day of our formation is characterized by intense routine, filled with combat training, participation in large-scale exercises, maintenance of combat equipment, work to improve the living conditions of the military town, and the upkeep of the rear facilities of the unit.
Military units and detachments of the formation are in constant combat readiness, always prepared to carry out any tasks assigned by the command of the operational command, the Armed Forces, and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Even on this festive day, they continue to perform their military duty hundreds of kilometers away from their permanent deployment point, ensuring the military security of our state.
Taking this opportunity, I extend my immense commander's thanks to you – the officers' wives and family members – for your tolerance, understanding, and, of course, support of your husbands, the servicemen.
On this momentous day for us, I express words of gratitude to all veterans, generals, officers, ensigns, sergeants, and soldiers of our unit for their selfless military service in the name of strengthening the defence capability and greatness of our Motherland!
