On October 24, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. This morning, the gatehouse of the Vitebsk Mechanical Plant caught fire, the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed a BELTA correspondent. Around five o'clock in the morning, a report of a fire in the gatehouse premises of RUP "Vitebsk Mechanical Plant" was received via the "101" line from an eyewitness. Upon arrival at the scene, a burning sofa was observed inside the gatehouse building. The building is detached, single-story, brick, with dimensions of 8x10 m in plan, and a reinforced concrete floor. The Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued a watchman born in 1965 from the gatehouse. The victim was delivered to the regional clinical hospital in an unconscious state with burns to the head and body of degree 2-3 over an area of 40% and poisoning by combustion products.
