Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Terekhov, paid a working visit to Lepel District.

As part of a unified information day, a representative of the republican authorities met with the staff of the "Lepelvodokanal" branch of the UP "Vitebskobvodokanal". The choice of venue for the meeting was not accidental: the "Lepelvodokanal" branch is one of the key enterprises in the region's housing and communal services sector, ensuring water supply and wastewater disposal not only for Lepel District but also for Beshenkovichi, Chashniki, and Senno Districts. The main topic of discussion was life safety, covering issues from digital hygiene and cybersecurity to rules of conduct on roads, near water, and in forests.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that the state creates all conditions for citizens' safe living, but the key role belongs to the personal responsibility of each individual. Special emphasis was placed on the need for constant interaction between families and the state in fostering a culture of safety among the younger generation.

The meeting was held in a constructive dialogue. Representatives of the work collective had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss topics relevant to the enterprise and the district.

The visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus to the Lepel region continued with a visit to a construction site. Alexander Terekhov inspected the progress of the construction of a multi-apartment residential building on Shkolnaya Street. This facility is one of the key projects in the region's current housing program, and its completion is scheduled for September 2026. Alexander Alexandrovich noted that it is important not only to build new square meters but also to approach construction thoughtfully, with decisions made rationally and taking into account the long-term interests of the residents. The district authorities and the contractor were advised to maintain the pace achieved to strictly adhere to the established commissioning deadline. The residents' housewarming in September 2026 remains a priority task.

The Deputy Prime Minister's visit to the Lepel region served as further confirmation of the country's leadership's close attention to the issues of regional development, modernization of housing and communal services, and, most importantly, to the safety and well-being of every citizen.
