This time, issues of local importance were considered with the participation of the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Sergey Levkovich, as well as the Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Viktor Azaryonok.

The organisation of ideological work in the Lepel district was the main item on the agenda, with a report delivered by Svetlana Sheveleva, Head of the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the district executive committee.

The economic performance, among other things, depends on how motivated people are to achieve high results and the extent to which a comfortable moral and psychological climate has been established within the team. This means there can be no secondary issues here. Special attention must be paid to personnel selection for the tasks set, the speaker noted.

Sergey Levkovich also made a significant contribution to the organisation of ideological work in the region.


As the President's Assistant noted, one of the most important, if not paramount, aspects in this area is interaction with youth and young personnel. A leader, as the chief ideologist within a team, is obliged to create a comfortable environment for young employees, to know what concerns their subordinates, and to do everything possible to retain people in their positions.

In his address to the residents of Lepel, Sergey Viktorovich also touched upon the theme of the Year of Improvement of the country, which has been declared for the current year, 2025, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus.


The Year of Improvement is about creating a comfortable life for our citizens in every corner of the region, from rural settlements to the district centre. Therefore, improvement measures include work with vacant houses, modernisation of facilities, road renovation, and many other areas, Sergey Viktorovich noted.
