Today, Lepel is hosting the II Republican seminar for leaders of public search associations (detachments, clubs, groups) on the issues of perpetuating the memory of the Fatherland defenders and victims of wars.

Svetlana Sheveleva, Head of the Ideological Work and Youth Affairs Department of the District Executive Committee, addressed the seminar participants with a welcoming speech.

Andrei Rubin, Battalion Commander, spoke about the procedure for conducting search operations. Thus, 168 sites are included in the plan for field search operations in 2025. Search operations to identify unrecorded military burials will be carried out in the territory of 6 regions and 42 districts of the Republic of Belarus.

Viktor Taran, Head of the Organizational and Search Operations Department of the Directorate for Perpetuating the Memory of the Defenders of the Fatherland of the Armed Forces, also addressed the participants.
