The main objective of rural meetings is to demonstrate, through video films and factual examples, the consequences of violating fire safety rules. Another such rural meeting on fire prevention and fatalities was held in the agro-town of Sloboda with the participation of Valentin Eduardovich Lovets, Head of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, and Elena Anatolyevna Vashkevich, a representative of the Lepel branch of Belgosstrakh. The event began with a concert program prepared by students of the Sloboda school. Following this, in his speech, the head of the department informed those present about the fire situation in the district and within the rural council's territory. He noted an increase in fires and fatalities resulting from them. He provided examples of fatalities. He emphasized the importance of installing autonomous fire detectors in apartments and private residences of citizens, and explained the rules for their use and installation. Elena Anatolyevna announced that 30 fire detectors have been purchased using Belgosstrakh funds for active policyholders residing in the Slobodskoye rural council. At the end of the meeting, they were ceremoniously presented to their fortunate recipients.
