Agricultural branches of enterprises of the State Production Association "Beltopgaz" in January-September generated a profit of over Br2.7 billion, excluding state subsidies, and with state support, this figure exceeded Br5 billion. This was announced today by the association's General Director Leonid Rudinsky at the association's ceremonial meeting dedicated to the Day of Agricultural Workers, held at the RUP "Vitebskoblgaz", reports a BELTA correspondent. This result was achieved thanks to the increase in production volumes and sales of products. Thus, over 9 months, agricultural branches produced gross output worth over Br40.7 billion, which in comparable prices is almost 13% higher than the figure for the same period in 2010. Milk production in January-September increased by 8.4% compared to the same period last year and amounted to over 17.2 thousand tons, with almost 15 thousand tons sold to the state. In general, the gross output per worker employed in agricultural production over 9 months amounted to Br47.3 million. Revenue from sales increased by almost 74% compared to the same period in 2010 and amounted to almost Br38.7 billion. During the harvesting campaign, the crop growers of the association's enterprises managed to obtain a harvest of grain and leguminous crops in the initially accounted weight of almost 25 thousand tons, which is 20.4% more than in 2010. The average yield was almost 40 c/ha, which is also higher than last year's level.
