Agricultural land of farmers in Vitebsk region has doubled in the last 10 years

Over the past ten years, the agricultural land of farmers in the Vitebsk region has doubled, reaching 41.8 thousand hectares.

According to the Main Statistics Department of the Vitebsk region, there are currently 417 peasant farms (PF). For most of them, the main activity is crop production. Last year, PF harvested 34.4 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops (3.2% of the total regional volume), 22.3 thousand tons of potatoes (4%), and 11.9 thousand tons of vegetables (5.9%). Over ten years, the share of the farming sector in crop production has more than tripled.
