The Vitebsk region will host participants of an off-site seminar of the regional council of the Russian Union of Travel Industry "Cross-border Cooperation: Implementation Experience, Problems and Prospects" from September 13-15, BELTA was informed at the regional executive committee.
Major travel companies from various regions of Russia have confirmed their participation in the forum. More than 70 participants will discuss the problems and prospects of cross-border cooperation with the participation of representatives from the Department of Sports and Tourism of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, the National Tourism Agency, the State Border Committee of Belarus, representatives of the administrations of the Vitebsk, Pskov and Smolensk regions, and other interested departments. During the seminar, an extended meeting of the Committee for Entrepreneurship in the Tourism Sector of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia will be held.
Forum participants will also get acquainted with the tourism infrastructure of Vitebsk, Polotsk and Smolensk, animation programs, and cultural and educational projects implemented on the basis of cross-border cooperation.
The seminar is organized at the initiative of one of the Vitebsk travel agencies.
