The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection will hold a republican seminar on working with citizens' appeals in the socio-labour sphere in Orsha, Chashniki and Novolukoml (Vitebsk region) on September 27-28. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the ministry's press secretary, Varvara Aleksandrovich. The event will be attended by heads and specialists of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, relevant committees of regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, organizations of the ministry's system, as well as representatives of local executive and administrative bodies. The seminar is organised to improve the feedback mechanism on the most pressing issues concerning people. Its aim is to enhance the skills of personnel in working with citizens' appeals, share experience, and further increase the effectiveness of work in this area. "Behind every appeal, one must see a specific person who makes proposals, shares their opinions and ideas, and seeks assistance and support," noted the First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Petr Grushnik. "It is important to pay due attention to everyone who applies, provide a professional response, and help solve the problem." In his opinion, the ministry's system attaches great importance to ensuring daily real care for people and to further de-bureaucratisation. Seminar participants will discuss issues of organising a system for working with citizens and ways to improve it, taking into account local specifics, as well as the application of legal norms on state support for families with children and resolving issues of veterans. It is planned to consider the possibilities and prospects of using information technologies in working with citizens. A training session on "Conflict Management as a Manager's Function. Methods of Preventing and Resolving Conflicts during Personal Meetings with Citizens" is scheduled. Such a seminar is organised annually in different regions of the republic on the basis of "flagship" services.-0-
