26 May, Polotsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The All-Belarusian Festival of Family Creativity "Talented Together" opens today in Vitebsk, the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre informed a BELTA correspondent. Creative families with children, family ensembles and even creative groups of several families, as well as family clubs established at Jewish public organisations, are taking part in the festival-competition. Applications for participation were sent by families and multi-family groups from Mogilev, Gomel, Bobruisk, Minsk, Lida, Pinsk and Vitebsk. The national composition of participants is very diverse: Belarusians, Roma, Jews, Russians, Greeks, Latvians. Family creativity will be presented through vocal and choreographic performances, instrumental music and original genre performances that the contestants are capable of. Based on the results of the first qualifying day, a strict jury, headed by the renowned choreographer, teacher, and dancer Inna Aslamova, will select seven participants for the gala concert who have presented the most successful and impressive performances. At the gala concert on 27 May, at the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic, the Grand Prix of the festival will find its winner based on the results of the qualifying round. The festival-competition is organised by the Vitebsk Public Association "City Jewish Community" in conjunction with the Centre of National Cultures of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre and the October District Committee of the BRSM. The festival considers its main goal to be the promotion of life-affirming family ideals, as well as the ideas of peace, friendship, and creation.-0-
