The regional stage of the republican family agricultural project "Master of the Village-2022" brought together 15 families from the districts of the Vitebsk region in Verkhnedvinsk. The competition was held for the fifteenth time and once again gathered the most active families living and working in rural areas, allowing each to realize once again that together any difficulties and obstacles can be overcome.
The organizers of the event - the regional committee of the NGO "Belarusian Republican Youth Union", the main department of ideological work and youth affairs, and the committee for agriculture and food of the regional executive committee, the Verkhnedvinsk district executive committee and the RK "BRSM" - offered the family teams various competitions and took care of creating the conditions for their holding. To win and receive the title of "Master of the Village", contestants had to demonstrate dexterity in mowing, preparing firewood, men had to show skills in swaddling a baby, and women - in hammering nails, coordinated actions of both in hitting targets and gathering potatoes, strength in carrying and transporting their wives… The hostesses also had a homework assignment to bake a loaf of bread and weave a wreath, and all together to defend their homestead.
Each of the competitions had its winner, and the main prize was taken by the family of Dmitry and Victoria Dunder from the Gluboksky district. The family of Vasily and Valeria Taran from Lepel region took second place, and the family of Kirill and Elena Buben from Verkhnedvinsk took third place.
As part of the "Master of the Village" project, an open dialogue "Family is the Foundation of the State" was held, as well as a meeting of the Youth Chamber and a forum of rural youth.
