The administration of FEZ "Vitebsk" and the Russian fund "Skolkovo" plan to develop a cooperation roadmap in 7 areas. This was announced today at a meeting of the FEZ administration by Alexander Okunev, Deputy Vice President for Regional Development and CIS Interaction of the fund, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

This was announced today at a meeting of the FEZ administration by Alexander Okunev, Deputy Vice President for Regional Development and CIS Interaction of the fund, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The basis for the negotiation process was formed following the visit of the fund's delegation to FEZ "Vitebsk" at the end of 2021. "At that time, we received the most detailed information on each resident; almost all of them are involved in innovation, developing technological or engineering solutions, which creates great potential for interaction," explained Alexander Okunev, who participated in the event online. Following consultations with residents and fund participants, as well as financial institutions, on the possibilities of innovative cooperation, 7 promising areas have been identified for building joint work.
These include interaction on the implementation of innovative solutions developed for key economic sectors, digital transformation projects in industry, including the scaling of digital products of Belarusian companies in Russia and third-country markets. Two more areas are related to promoting Belarusian products in foreign markets, including far abroad, as well as the participation of Belarusian companies in the fund's international exhibition and presentation events. Large state-owned companies of the host country are usually present there. This will be of interest to enterprises seeking to increase their export potential, for which the fund is ready to provide the necessary competencies and infrastructure, noted Alexander Okunev.
FEZ residents can also obtain the status of a "Skolkovo" project participant, which implies a number of preferences, primarily marketing ones. Another proposal envisages cooperation in the research and development sphere, and enhancing technological competencies for solving production tasks.
"The fund is ready to start working on all proposed areas today, for which several pilot projects in innovation and the same number in product promotion can be identified. At the same time, it is important to build cooperation correctly and take the first step towards the goal, which we define as increasing the revenue of partner enterprises, creating new jobs and profit centers," believes Alexander Okunev.
