"Hunting methods include ambush with firearms, stalking, and hunting without firearms. Permitted weapons are rifled hunting firearms with muzzle energy exceeding 1500 joules, smoothbore hunting firearms using cartridges loaded with bullets or buckshot, hunting bows, and crossbows. Hunting without firearms can be done using traps, snares (excluding nooses), and all breeds of hunting dogs, except hounds and sighthounds," the BOHF stated.
In September, hunting is also permitted for wild boar, wolf, fox, jackal, grey crow, magpie, raccoon dog, cormorant, grey and great white heron, waterfowl, marsh birds, woodcock, wood pigeon, rock dove, quail, and pheasant. On September 4, the hunting season for hazel grouse and grey partridge opens. From September 18, goose hunting is permitted. The hunting season for male roe deer, elk, and deer will last until September 30.
