The regional chess competitions among rural districts were held in Dubrovno. Nine teams took part in them. Lepel district was represented by Vinger Bagautdinov, Viktor Lazovsky, and Vasily Shumko.
The regional chess competitions among rural districts were held in Dubrovno. Nine teams took part in them. Lepel district was represented by Vinger Bagautdinov, Viktor Lazovsky, and Vasily Shumko. Each game was allocated 30 minutes for opponents. Vasily Shumko took second place, Vinger Bagautdinov and Viktor Lazovsky took third place. In the overall team standings, the residents of Lepel won second place, falling behind the chess players of Braslav district. The winners and prize-winners of the chess battles were awarded diplomas of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Regional Executive Committee and medals.
