With the aim of assessing the level of students' knowledge of life safety fundamentals, drawing the attention of youth to environmental protection, and promoting a healthy lifestyle, as well as popularising the rescuer profession and the activities of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Rescuers-Firefighters, the district stage of the "Safety School – 2019" competition was held on February 15 at the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations.

Twenty-four schoolchildren participated in the competition, divided into three age groups: pupils of grades 1-4, pupils of grades 5-7, and pupils of grades 8-11.

Following the results of the "Safety School" competition, activists of the Republican Public Association "Belaya Rus" took part in awarding the winners with diplomas and valuable prizes.

The participants who took first place in their respective age categories will represent Lepel District at the regional stage of the competition.
