Results of the District Competition "School of Safety-2025" Announced

With the aim of assessing students' knowledge of life safety fundamentals, promoting a healthy and safe lifestyle among the younger generation, and popularising the rescuer profession and the activities of the Belarusian Youth Public Organisation of Rescuers-Firefighters, the district stage of the "School of Safety – 2025" competition was held at the gymnasium of Lepel town.

Over 20 students from general secondary education institutions participated in the competition, competing in three age categories.

The first stage of the competition was a theoretical "exam". The participants answered 50 questions on safety rules, first aid fundamentals, and actions in emergency situations.

Next, the schoolchildren competed in public speaking. Participants had one minute to present on the following topics: "I will tell you why smoke detectors are needed in every home!", "I will tell you that any celebration can be a step towards tragedy if a firecracker is in children's hands!", and "I will tell you how firefighters fought fires during the war!". This competition requires thorough preparation, self-confidence, and a creative approach.

The results of the competition are as follows:

Among students in grades 1-4:

1st place – Kantur Maksim, a student of I.M. Yerashov Gymnasium of Lepel town;

2nd place – Bykova Maria, a student of Stayskaya Secondary School of Lepel district;

3rd place – Doledutko Makar, a student of Zaslonovskaya Secondary School of Lepel district.

Among students in grades 5-8:

1st place – Baginskaya Milana, a student of I.M. Yerashov Gymnasium of Lepel town;

2nd place – Shandarovich Daniil, a student of Starolepelskaya Basic School named after A.A. Marunko of Lepel district;

3rd place – Markina Margarita, a student of Zaslonovskaya Secondary School of Lepel district.

Among students in grades 9-11:

1st place – Zenovich Anastasia, a student of Secondary School No. 3 of Lepel town;

2nd place – Popkova Irina, a student of I.M. Yerashov Gymnasium of Lepel town;

3rd place – Tukhto Alexandra, a student of Secondary School No. 1 of Lepel town.

The participants who took first place in their respective age categories were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes, and will also represent Lepel district at the regional stage of the competition. We wish them good luck!
