Final Chords
The final chords of the road safety campaign sounded on the stage of the District House of Culture. The event gathered a large audience – pupils from city schools, as well as troubled teenagers from all over the district. Traffic police officers performed well on stage to music, and the children's competition numbers were also strong. After the results of the competition were announced, the winners received prizes. For example, dancers from Secondary School No. 3 were awarded a monetary prize to purchase stage costumes.
The Head of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Major General Alexander Naydenko, attended the road safety campaign event.
An Excursion to the Library
Teachers of Belarusian language and literature, librarians, and school principals – forty-one people in total – travelled to Minsk, where a sightseeing tour of the city awaited them. They also visited the National Library, the Library Museum of Rare Books, and an exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of Maxim Bogdanovich.
Training for Young Teachers
A master class for young teachers of Belarusian language and literature from schools in the city and district was held at the Kamenskaya Secondary School. Their colleague, Hanna Borodayko, shared her experience. Attendees visited lessons and the museum of the poet Todor Klyashtorny.
Meeting of School Museum Curators
A republican seminar "Research of Historical and Cultural Features of the Region through the Museum Activities of School Museum Curators" was held in Pinsk, where our district was represented by Valery Tukhta, a history teacher from the Slobodskaya Secondary School, head of the local museum, and a local historian.
The participants of the meeting heard a series of reports promoting the work experience of the best school museum curators, exchanged their own achievements, established new relationships and contacts, and took an educational tour of the famous places of Pinsk: they visited the Polesia Museum and a number of school museums, the drama theatre, and the Cathedral Church, where the head of the Catholic Church in Belarus, Archbishop Cardinal Kazimierz Świątek, is buried.
