During the Winter Holidays
The work of the social psychological and pedagogical service continued during the winter holidays. Training sessions with elements of a training titled “Where the Old Year Goes” are being held for pupils of grades 1-2. Younger pupils went on a virtual journey “Winter Customs and Holidays of Belarus”. A correspondence excursion around the world “How New Year is Celebrated” took place. Events are held in the computer class using electronic technologies and the internet. The holiday schedule includes a meeting at the youth club “Comrade” and a raid by the “Teacher-Parent Patrol”. The “Trust” consultation centre is operating.
Young Olympians
On Saturdays, the “Altair” club of young Olympians operates at the gymnasium under the guidance of physical education teacher Sergey Tkachenko. The club has its own programme, emblem, plan, and passport. Incidentally, the club’s emblem took fourth place in the regional competition.
Basketball sections for pupils of grades five to seven and football sections for grades five to eight are also operating, and a comprehensive sports programme is being held at the health camp.
Rest and Health Improvement
Thirty children of primary school age are resting at the winter health camp. They receive three meals a day with vitamin enrichment. Special attention is paid to children from low-income families. Almost 5,580 thousand roubles have been allocated for the camp’s needs. An interesting and diverse cultural programme for children and teenagers includes the “Olympic Stadium” marathon, the “Faster, Higher, Stronger!” fun starts, the “Nature of Our Native Land” ecological quiz, and the “Hour of Creativity”, among others.
In the Constellation of Talents
The “Constellation of Talents” children's creativity festival is being held for the sixth year. Pupils annually showcase their creative abilities in vocals, choreography, theatrical and instrumental genres, and stage sports performances. The festival is sponsored by the regional committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM).
This year, the “Grand Prix” among pupils of grades 5-7 in the “Golden Voice of the Festival” nomination was awarded to seventh-grader Alesya Tarasevich. The collective of pupils from grade 6 “B” was also distinguished in the “Rhythms of Dance” nomination. Among pupils of grades 8-11, the best choreographic performance by ninth-grader Natalia Gorbienok from grade 9 “A” was recognised.
