Pupils of the school showed good results during the minor district olympiads. Four pupils participated and took four prize-winning places. Fourth-grader Nastya Piskunova became the winner of the district olympiad in the Belarusian language. Eighth-grader Veronika Malyavka took two steps on the podium of honour – second place in Russian and third in Belarusian languages. Sixth-grader Mikola Stelmah also showed the third result at the mathematics olympiad.
Meeting with Parents
A school-wide parents' meeting was held on the topic of the educational institution's work with highly motivated pupils. School psychologist Tamara Malyavka addressed the parent audience.
Other issues were also discussed at the meeting. Aleksandr Sezdzin, an employee of the district emergency department, conducted a preventive talk on fire safety, providing specific examples and facts.
Gave Books to Compatriots
Valery Tukhta, a history teacher and local historian, presented his two books, "Notes from a Local History Notebook" and "I Returned Because You Were Waiting," with author's autographs, to the readers of the Veleŭshchyna, Slabada, and Chara rural libraries. The books have just been published in Minsk by "Medisont" publishing house. They will be useful for history teachers, local historians, and will undoubtedly interest the residents of the aforementioned regions, who will find stories about their relatives, loved ones, and neighbours – compatriots.
