The 1st inclusive festival for children with disabilities "Special, Like Everyone Else" will be held on August 18 at the "Ozery" sports and tourist complex in Postavy, the festival's organiser Rita Shiley told a BELTA correspondent.

Participation in such festivals is not only for children but also for their parents – a breath of fresh air, an opportunity to change the scenery. "We communicate a lot with families raising special children. One of the festival's goals is to get parents and children out of their homes, give them an opportunity to relax emotionally and get to know each other. Currently, dozens of families from Postavy and the district, Glubokoye, Braslav have expressed their desire to participate in the festival. It is pleasing that there will be many children from rural areas," noted Rita Shiley.

The festival will start at 12:00. Interesting and engaging activities will be organised for the children. Special children will be entertained by animators, a mini-zoo, and horse riding is planned. Photo zones with professional photographers, a soap bubble show, face painting, and a food zone, taking into account children's dietary needs, will also be organised. Various masterclasses, from making postcards to robotics, will also be held for the guests. Gifts and a circus performance have been prepared for the children.

The mandatory condition for participation in the festival is to complete pre-registration by calling 8 (029) 719-70-55. Everything will be free for the festival participants.

The festival will be held with the support of the Postavy District Executive Committee, the "Ozery" sports and tourist complex, and the district Centre for Correction and Development Training and Rehabilitation.
