7 December, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The "loyalty system" is gaining increasing support in Vitebsk and already unites 72 trade, catering, and service facilities. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Irina Suprun, Head of the Trade and Services Department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee. To support socially vulnerable population groups, a discount system for goods and services for pensioners, disabled persons of Group I and II, and large families was launched in the regional centre in July this year. At that time, about a dozen retail chains, company stores of industrial and processing enterprises, and household services provided these discounts. Today, this system has significantly expanded and unites 72 facilities. Alongside joint-stock companies with state shareholding, businesses have also joined the initiative. For example, the cafe of the state-owned JSC "Vitmil" has introduced a 30% discount on set lunches for pensioners, and a private fast-food restaurant offers the same discounts on its most popular dishes to large families. Pensioners, disabled persons of Group I and II, and large families can purchase socially significant food and non-food items with a reduced trade margin of 4%-15% in shops owned by entities of various forms of ownership. In the sphere of household services, the "loyalty system" is supported by 19 hairdressing salons and 6 photo studios of JSC "Mir Usług". At 10 reception points of JSC "Ob'yedineniye "Lotos", low-income citizens can have laundry done and pillows cleaned. Household services have not forgotten about students either. In two facilities, they are offered a 25% discount on photocopying services. As Irina Suprun noted, in Vitebsk, to confirm their right to discounts, citizens only need to present a document confirming their status as a pensioner, disabled person, or member of a large family to a participant of the "loyalty system". According to her, this is convenient for people who do not need to collect extra income certificates and does not complicate the work of trade and service facilities. Work on implementing social initiatives within the trade system in Vitebsk will continue.
