The management system of the Belarusian electric power industry will be improved by 2019, as reported to BELTA by the Minister of Energy of Belarus, Vladimir Potupchik.
"The management system will be improved, and many aspects will be reflected in the new law "On Electric Power Industry". The Ministry of Energy and the Belenergo State Production Association have analysed the experience of reforming other power systems, primarily those of the post-Soviet states within the EAEU, and have developed an improvement algorithm through the phased transformation of Belenergo," Vladimir Potupchik explained.
Taking into account the provisions of the EAEU Treaty regarding the formation of a common electricity market, the restructuring is to be completed by July 1, 2019.
