On November 23, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. The VI Congress of Dermatovenerologists of Belarus will be held on November 24-25 at the Vitebsk State Medical University with the participation of specialists from 8 countries. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Head of the Department of Dermatovenerology of the Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Vladimir Adaskevich. The Congress of Dermatovenerologists is being held in Vitebsk for the first time and is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the Vitebsk school of dermatovenerology, Ivan Bogdanovich. More than 200 scientists, employees of research, educational and medical organizations from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden and Israel have shown interest in the forum. For the first time during the congress, a teleconference is planned, with the I. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University being connected to Vitebsk. The teleconference will focus on topical issues of differential diagnosis of skin pathology, in particular, specialists will discuss the potential of teledermatology and opportunities for distance education for dermatovenerologists, and new technologies in dermatoscopy for a number of diseases. A total of ten symposia on topical problems of dermatology and cosmetology are planned over two days. The specialists' attention will be focused on problems of clinical dermatology, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), cosmetology issues, as well as the introduction of innovations in the diagnosis and therapy of skin diseases and STIs. One of the symposia will be devoted to the analysis of clinical cases of rare diseases, which will be presented by specialists from all regions of Belarus. Dermatovenerologists will discuss the introduction of new drugs and immunodiagnostic methods in the treatment of blistering skin diseases. This problem is relevant for Belarus, it requires complex diagnostics and the introduction of new methods, which is a promising task for the Belarusian dermatovenerological service, noted Vladimir Adaskevich.
