2 November, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Lovers in Vitebsk now have their own bench, reports BELTA correspondent. The decorative "bench of love", made of metal in the art deco style, is located near the Pushkin monument – one of the most romantic places in the city, a must-visit for wedding processions. The bench is 1.7 m long. It is decorated with orchids and the traditional wedding symbol – swans. The seat is concave towards the middle, making it comfortable for lovers to sit close together. Newlyweds Denis and Tatiana Mishkovets were able to verify this. After cutting the symbolic ribbon, the young couple were the first to try out the bench and, with smiles whose radiance could not be dulled even by the drizzling autumn rain, delivered their verdict: "Comfortable!". Judging by the happy faces of the newlyweds, it was indeed comfortable for them, especially since the new spouses declared their first family tradition here – in case of an argument, to come and make up on this very bench. Its design is quite suitable for these purposes, not allowing them to sit far from each other. The bench for lovers appeared in the city on the initiative of Private Unitary Enterprise "Transport Company "Natali", which implemented this project with the support of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee. The enterprise also participates in other charitable events in the regional center. For five years, the Private Unitary Enterprise has been assisting the Children's Home, and on Victory Day, it provides free transportation for veterans of the Great Patriotic War. -0-
