In accordance with the Forest Code, the harvesting of tree sap is carried out on forest fund plots designated for these purposes by legal entities engaged in forestry, and their structural divisions (forestries). When harvesting birch sap, individuals must possess a forest ticket issued by the legal entity engaged in forestry.
In accordance with parts 1 and 2 of Article 16.19 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus, violation of sap harvesting rules and its collection without permits shall entail a fine imposed on a citizen of up to twenty basic units, on an individual entrepreneur – up to one hundred basic units, and on a legal entity – up to five hundred basic units.
