The State Automobile Inspectorate recommends observing increased safety measures in difficult weather conditions. According to weather forecasters, wet snow is expected in the coming days, and icy conditions will form on certain sections of the roads. Drivers should consider that the condition of the carriageway along the route may change sharply. Be especially attentive when passing pedestrian crossings, choose a safe speed and distance, and avoid any sudden movements or maneuvers. Before travelling, be sure to clear your vehicle of snow and ice, and fill the windshield washer fluid reservoir with antifreeze.

Pedestrians need to remember that a vehicle on a slippery road sometimes lacks the technical capability to stop in time. Cross the carriageway only at designated places, ensuring that all vehicles manage to stop. In conditions of poor visibility and darkness, be sure to mark yourself with reflective elements!

The State Automobile Inspectorate continues to monitor the condition of the country's streets and roads for the timely performance of snow removal and de-icing work by road and utility services.
