Schoolchildren felt like real biathletes at the district competition "Snow Sniper," which recently took place in Borovka. By tradition, the Department of Education and the DOSAAF Lepel Automobile School acted as its organizers.
Sixteen teams, with four people in each. Girls demonstrated their accuracy and speed alongside boys. Participants were divided into two age categories.
At the pre-conscription training centre's shooting range, schoolchildren shot from pneumatic rifles. Three practice and seven scoring shots gave participants an opportunity to train. The ski track ran along the lake shore, where teenagers had to complete a three-kilometre race. School No. 1 performed best. Stayskoye Secondary School took second place in the overall team standings, and Borovskoye Secondary School came third. In the senior group, Yevgeny Kasyanov (Borovskoye Secondary School) won among boys, and Alesya Barkan (School No. 1) won among girls. In the junior group, Daniil Dementey (Stayskoye Secondary School) and Tatyana Lazovskaya (Zaslonovskaya Secondary School) were the winners.
The children received not only emotions but also valuable prizes – sports equipment – for their efforts.
