Employees of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs regularly conduct events to prevent offenses in the district, identify the causes and conditions contributing to them, including at agricultural enterprises.

During the 2025 harvesting and procurement campaigns, the main focus of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the Criminal Investigation Department, Public Order Protection, and the State Automobile Inspectorate will be on agricultural enterprises.

As a result of the measures taken, agricultural machinery is inspected, its serviceability is determined, and the technical security of warehouses and other facilities is studied.

Currently, active measures are being carried out to prevent the theft of enterprises' inventory and materials, including those committed by employees themselves. Special attention is paid to the preservation of the harvested crops and fuel.

State Automobile Inspectorate officers are conducting measures to identify vehicles that have not passed state technical inspection, individuals driving vehicles without a driver's license, under the influence of alcohol, or who have committed other violations.

One of the most common violations is fuel theft.

It should be noted that coloured fuel may only be used by agricultural enterprises; any use of it by individuals for personal purposes is unlawful and entails liability under Part 3 of Article 13.23 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus "Illegal circulation of petroleum liquid fuel in the Republic of Belarus", according to which "the acquisition, storage, use or sale by individuals of coloured petroleum liquid fuel supplied in the prescribed manner to organisations performing work related to the production of agricultural products shall entail a fine of from ten to fifty base units". For example, during the 2025 sowing campaign, officers of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs detected the storage of 290 litres of coloured diesel fuel, the theft of 440 kilograms of mixed feed, and the theft of 18 kilograms of fertilizers.
