Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Belarusian Voluntary Society for the Rescue of People on Water (OSVOD) are conducting preventive raids on winter reservoirs to remind people of important ice safety rules.

As practice shows, as soon as ice appears on the river, lovers of "quiet hunting" are right there. And the main argument in the conversation is the weather.

Today, the lakes of the town were inspected by the First Deputy Head of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, Alexey Girs, and the Head of the Lepel Rescue Station, Igor Mikhno.

– Everyone should think about their own safety while still on the shore, – said the rescuers. – Unfortunately, there have already been victims of thin ice this year. Do not risk your own life, because everyone is waiting for us at home and loves us very much.

Raids will continue, rescuers will inspect water bodies located within the town and in rural areas.
