TRAFFIC POLICE OFFICERS, TOGETHER WITH YOUNG INSPECTORS, REMINDED LEPEL RESIDENTS ABOUT ROAD SAFETY

As part of the ongoing event "Mobility According to the Rules!", officers of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs, together with a representative of the BRSM (Belarusian Republican Youth Union) and the "Young Road Traffic Inspectors" team from the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 3 of the City of Lepel", conducted a preventive campaign on the city streets.

As part of the ongoing event "Mobility According to the Rules!", officers of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs, together with a representative of the BRSM and the "Young Road Traffic Inspectors" team from the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 3 of the City of Lepel", conducted a preventive campaign on the city streets.
Initially, police officers reminded schoolchildren of the Road Traffic Rules, emphasizing the importance of applying their knowledge in everyday life as pedestrians and cyclists. They discussed some dangerous situations that they might encounter on the roadway and the importance of using retroreflective elements in the dark.

Then, officers of the State Automobile Inspectorate and the "Young Road Traffic Inspectors" went out onto the city streets and reminded drivers and pedestrians about mutual courtesy on the roadway. They urged road users to ensure the safety of elderly people, offer assistance on the road, and exercise particular caution when driving in residential areas, courtyards, especially near playgrounds, and in the vicinity of pedestrian crossings.

Drivers and pedestrians, after interacting with the young inspectors, thanked them and promised to be law-abiding road users.
— We want our city to be safe for everyone, to have fewer road accidents, and for this, every road user must be law-abiding. It is important that drivers do not drive under the influence of alcohol, because this is the cause of most traffic accidents, — said a young inspector to a driver.
