Library services for the population of Lepel District are provided by 15 public libraries, including: the central district library and 14 rural libraries.
Since November 2010, a project has been implemented to organise a mobile service system for sparsely populated and remote villages using a bookmobile. The population of 42 settlements in Lepel District uses the bookmobile services.
9 interest clubs operate in the system's libraries, including 5 for children and teenagers, and 4 clubs for adults.
In the central district library, the exhibition "The Book – a Connecting Thread of Times" is open for visitors. It is a kind of museum of literary publications, various objects, events, and facts passed down from generation to generation through the main source of knowledge – the book.
