October 3, Minsk /BELTA/. The Government of Belarus has approved the design documentation for the Belarusian NPP. This decision is contained in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 857 of September 30, 2013. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the government.

In accordance with the document, the technical and economic indicators of the capital construction facility "Belarusian NPP" are as follows: 2 power units with a nominal installed capacity of 1194 MW each, with the installed capacity of the station being 2388 MW, the service life is 50 years, the average annual electricity generation when the nuclear power plant operates in base mode is 17,095.1 million kWh.

This resolution also approves the architectural project "Belarusian NPP" (cost summary) with a preliminary estimated cost of: 44.582 billion Russian rubles in 2001 prices, Br2.9 trillion in 2006 prices, $340.86 million.

The resolution allocates these funds for the construction of NPP facilities, performance of preparatory period works, construction of the NPP production base, unified pioneer production base, 110/10 kV "Viliya" substation, railway line to the NPP, road from R-45 (Goza) - NPP - Ostrovets, road "South-Eastern bypass of the city of Ostrovets" with access to the M-7 highway Minsk - Oshmyany - Lithuanian border, for expenses on design and survey works and author's supervision for off-site utility networks, for housing, social, utility and cultural facilities, for power output and connection to the power system.
