Traffic Police Tips: How to Participate in Road Traffic in the Rain

Drivers and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution and strictly adhere to traffic regulations.

When driving in adverse conditions, it is necessary to select a safe speed, maintain a safe distance and lateral clearance, and avoid sudden steering, acceleration, or braking. All occupants of the vehicle must wear seat belts, and children must be transported in appropriate child restraint systems.

In conditions of reduced visibility, switch on the low beam headlights. In case of heavy downpours that make further movement impossible, stop off the roadway and activate the hazard warning lights.

Pedestrians are required to make themselves visible with retroreflective elements. Before crossing the roadway, ensure that all drivers have noticed you and are yielding.

In inclement weather, refrain from travelling on motorcycles, bicycles, and personal mobility devices.
