On November 30, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The National Academic Drama Theatre named after Yakub Kolas will present a modern story about life, "The Lift," to the people of Vitebsk today, Svetlana Dashkevich, head of the theatre's literary department, told a BELTA correspondent.
The premiere performance focuses on people we meet every day. The main character, Anna (Natalia Aladko, Svetlana Zhukovskaya), has long grown unaccustomed to love and attention from her husband and son. Her constant household chores and work responsibilities have become the meaning of her existence, not her life. Her husband, Igor (Georgy Loyko), has left her for a mistress, and her adult son, Andrey (Vladislav Zhuravlev), constantly reproaches her. Another family's life is also not going well: Dimon (Evgeny Beresnev, Egor Deyun) dreams of arranging his life according to his own understanding, his girlfriend Alena (Yulia Ulina, Anastasia Chistobaeva) loves to show off, and his mother (Raisa Gribovich) cannot provide her only son with well-being.
Life's twists and turns bring Anna and Dimon together in a lift. The audience will witness this fateful encounter. "The story teaches us to cherish our loved ones now, so as not to ask ourselves 'Why?', 'What for?', 'What if?' later, when it's already impossible to change anything," emphasized Svetlana Dashkevich.
Valery Anisenko acted as the author of the scenographic concept and director of the performance. The artist is Svetlana Makarenko. Musical arrangement by Alexandra Krishtafovich, video sequence by Oleg Chernyak.
Until the end of the year, a number of other premieres await the audience, the interlocutor noted. Thus, on December 9, fans of Melpomene will be presented with the play "Paradoxes of Feelings" based on the play by Sergey Sergienko, and on December 16, the premiere of the fairy tale "Miracles in the New Year's Forest" will take place. -0-
