Competition at the "Green Harvest"

With the aim of timely and high-quality harvesting of the first cut of grasses, the collegium of the Agriculture and Food Department of the District Executive Committee and the presidium of the district organization of the Agro-Industrial Complex Workers' Trade Union have resolved to organise a district operational competition among agricultural organisations, machine operators and vehicle drivers for the period of the first cut grass harvesting (from 25 May to 5 July). Winners, based on the weekly results, will be entered onto the district "Board of Honour", which is published in the newspaper "Lepelsky Krai".

 The following criteria will be used to determine the winners: the amount of fodder harvested per conventional head of livestock, and the growth rate relative to the level of the corresponding period of the previous year. The winner among machine operators will be determined by the amount of grass mown, and the winner among drivers – by the amount of mass transported. 

 Economic entities and trade union committees are recommended to organise similar competitions at their local levels for the harvesting of grass fodder.
