On October 31, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The regional Spartakiad for young Olympians' clubs will bring together schoolchildren from the Vitebsk region during the autumn holidays, BELTA was informed by the NOC representative office in the Vitebsk region. Three zonal qualifying rounds of the regional Spartakiad among 20 young Olympians' clubs will be held on November 2-4 in Polotsk, Orsha, and Vitebsk. A total of 160 teenagers aged 12-13 will compete, representing the young Olympians' clubs of Sennensky, Vitebsk, Postavsky, Shumilinsky, Miorsky, Verkhnedvinsky, Dokshitsky districts, Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, Polotsk, and Orsha. The participants will compete in individual and team events. The fighting spirit of the participants and the festive atmosphere will be supported by Mishka-Olimpishka. For the same purpose, the competition program of the festivities includes demonstration performances by children's sports and creative groups. The winners will be awarded valuable prizes, sports equipment, and sweets. In addition, the two best teams from each qualifying round will receive the right to participate in the final competitions, which will be held in December during the winter holidays. The event is designed to popularise the Olympic movement, physical culture and sports, as well as to assist in organising active recreation for schoolchildren during the holidays.
