On 20 March 2019, employees of the supervision and prevention inspectorate of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations conducted a follow-up inspection of the UP "Minsk Branch of Belarusian Railway" railway station located at: Lepel, Chuykov St., 48A (Station Master – Mamikov Ilya Anatolyevich).

During the follow-up inspection on 20 March 2019, it was established that an administrative offence had been committed on the territory along the railway tracks adjacent to the retail pavilions: the "General Fire Safety Requirements for the Maintenance and Operation of Capital Structures (Buildings, Structures), Isolated Premises and Other Facilities Owned by Business Entities" approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 7 of 23 November 2017 "On the Development of Entrepreneurship" were violated, specifically:

- storage (warehousing) of timber is not carried out in accordance with the procedure for storing substances and materials determined by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and technological instructions (Resolution of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus No. 24 of 26 April 2018 "Instruction on the Procedure for Storing Substances and Materials" (the area of the section (stack) is 690 m², para. 10) (para. 31).

The inspection revealed that the head and an official of this facility need to take the requirements of technical regulatory legal acts of the fire safety regulation and standardization system more seriously, and to implement fire safety measures at a higher quality level in order to prevent emergencies at the facility.

Following the results of the follow-up inspection, the Station Master of the UP "Minsk Branch of Belarusian Railway" railway station, Mamikov Ilya Anatolyevich, was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine of 5 base units.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Article 17 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety", the heads of organizations must ensure fire safety and fire prevention regime in their respective organizations.
