On the night of February 9, the rescue service received a report of a car fire in 2-y Melnichny Lane in the town of Lepel.

When rescuers arrived at the scene of the fire, the passenger car was observed to be on fire. As a result of the fire, the engine compartment, interior, and body of the car were damaged.

Experts are yet to determine the cause of the incident. According to statistics, in similar cases, the most frequent cause of fires is faulty vehicle wiring, which leads to a short circuit.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds vehicle owners that it is necessary to regularly carry out vehicle diagnostics at certified service stations and keep their vehicles in good working order.
