July 18, Lepel /Own. inf./. It is pleasant to note how, in recent years, new trade enterprises have literally appeared before our eyes in our district. Many shops attract numerous customers not only with their attractive appearance but also with a rich assortment of goods. It is impossible to overlook the "Rodny Kut" shop, which opened at the end of last year. The opening of the "Horadok" cafe has become a real gift for the residents of the village of Zaslonava, where one can spend their free time excellently, relax in the company of friends, and organize a family celebration both during the day and in the evening. Gradually, urban and rural shops are acquiring a new, more modern look. Consumer cooperation is a multi-branch system. Over the period of its development, it has formed into a large, socially oriented sector of the economy. Currently, consumer cooperation unites more than ten thousand people. For the first five months of the current year, the growth rate of retail trade turnover was 97.8 percent at comparable prices, and sales per person amounted to 366.7 thousand rubles. The growth rate of public catering turnover was 105.2 percent, exports – 127.8 percent, and procurement turnover – 157.2 percent. A profit of one billion 166 million rubles was obtained, of which 886 million were from trade activities.
In addition, this year, repairs were carried out on three rural shops, two shops were converted to self-service, and 21 units of refrigeration equipment were purchased. For the convenience of customers, terminal equipment is gradually being installed. Five units of such equipment have been installed this year. Goods worth a total of one billion 384 million rubles have been sold to the population on credit.
Year after year, we are increasing the pace of economic and financial activities of consumer cooperation. Our numerous successes are the result of the work of all cooperators of the district.
