Pensions in Belarus will be recalculated and will increase by an average of 6.6% from August 1, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection informed BELTA.

"Based on the decision of the President of Belarus, labour pensions will be recalculated from August 1, 2019. Their average size will be Br438, and the average size of an old-age pension will be Br446.1," the Ministry of Labour noted.

At the same time, the ministry emphasized that the percentage increase in a pension as a result of the recalculation will depend on each pensioner's individual parameters of work experience and earnings before applying for the pension, as well as established supplements, increases, and additional payments, which, as specialists pointed out, are not recalculated. "These payments increase with the growth of the subsistence minimum budget per capita," the Ministry of Labour clarified.
