This was announced today to participants of the field meeting of the Council for Interaction of Local Self-Government Bodies by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, reports a BELTA correspondent. If in January of the current year the average salary in the region was equivalent to $305, then in May, according to preliminary data, it will be $390, and in June - $400. By the end of the year, the region will reach the indicator of $500, Alexander Kosinets is confident. The governor considers the growth of population income to be a priority task. "It is extremely important for the Vitebsk region to solve the problem of wage and price disparity with the border regions of the Russian Federation in order to stop the outflow of personnel and the export of goods," the governor emphasized. -0-
