Thus, the average wage of workers in Minsk for July amounted to Br1,141.3 (in June - Br1,143.1). Minsk traditionally leads in Belarus in terms of average wage - in July, it was almost 1.4 times higher than the national average. The second position is held by the Minsk region (Br841.4), and the third by the Gomel region (Br741.1). The average July earnings in the Brest region were Br717.9, in the Grodno region - Br717.4, in the Mogilev region - Br709, in the Vitebsk region - Br702.
In general, across the republic, real wages (wages calculated taking into account the growth of consumer prices for goods and services) in January-July 2017 increased by 2.7% compared to the corresponding period in 2016. The highest growth in real wages was recorded in the Minsk and Gomel regions (3.5% and 3.4% respectively), while the Vitebsk region had the lowest indicator (1.6% growth).
Real wages for July of the current year, on average across the republic, amounted to 104.3% of the July level of last year.
