An online broadcast will be streamed live from the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord (lower church of the Assumption Cathedral) in Vitebsk on 16 February on the website www.pravoslavie.vitebsk.tv, Archpriest Andrei (Smolsky), a representative of the Vitebsk Diocese, informed a BELTA correspondent. Several themes define the scope of the ninth readings, including issues of interaction between the church, family, and school in spiritual and moral education, social service within the church and work with children and disabled persons, and suicide prevention. As the Archpriest noted, an agreement between the state and the Belarusian Orthodox Church has established a foundation for cooperation between Orthodox clergy and state structures aimed at the spiritual revival of the nation. For example, an innovative project "Spiritual and Moral Education and Upbringing based on the Orthodox Traditions of the Belarusian People" is being implemented in Vitebsk at Secondary School No. 10. Innovative teachers and clergy will share their experience of work and cooperation. Approximately 150 educators are expected to participate in the IX Epiphany Readings. According to Archpriest Andrei, online viewers will be able to not only listen to the participants' presentations but also ask them questions.
